Julianne Cook believes the body has an amazing ability to heal itself but sometimes you have to look a little harder for what the body needs and persistence is the key. Don’t give up, keep looking for the answers to your body’s riddles. Everybody is different and requires a unique approach to achieve your goals.
Julianne has been in manual outpatient physical therapy for over 20 years, with much of that time spent here in Maple Valley. She graduated from Oregon State University with a B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy with a minor in Psychology and then received her A.A.S. for Physical Therapist Assistant at Green River College. She lives in Ravensdale with her husband, two daughters, and lots of various animals. There’s always some crazy animal antics happening at Julianne’s house, whether it’s a Labrador eating a whole bread pan of banana bread (glass and all, yikes!) or a duck who thinks he is a dog.
When Julianne is not at work, she likes to hike, run or just walk the dogs in the forest. She also likes to go to the gym and may be a bit of a “sauna junkie.” That is her favorite way to manage stress, just sweat it out! She spends a lot of time on the Washington coast beach combing and nervously watching her husband and daughters surf. It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, those “polar bears” are in the ocean. They have only had one case of hypothermia and a new wetsuit (and thicker wetsuit) will prevent that from happening again! Vacations for the Cook family pretty much mean a trip back to Hawaii’s North Shore to see family and friends. And that’s a much more hospitable ocean for her water babies.
Julianne is excited to be a part of the Physical Therapy for EveryBODY team and looks forward to working with you to reach your wellness goals.
